Lactose Monohydrate is highly consistent with the crystalline alpha-monohydrate lactose. It meets all requirements of the IP, BP, PhEur, and USP-NF. All Ingredients are certified.
Application :
It is recommended as an excipients, filler, diluent, and bulking agent in a wide variety of pharmaceutical tablets, Capsules, powders, and other preparations.
Pharmaceutical Grade Lactose Monohydrate
Lactose is the most important carbohydrate of the milk of most species. Industrially lactose is produced from bovine milk exclusively, or rather from milk derivatives like cheese whey or ultra filtration permeate. Lactose is also known as milk sugar.
The most common way to obtain lactose in solid form is crystallizing from solution. When crystallization is performed at temperatures below 93.5oC, exclusively Alpha Lactose Monohydrate is obtained. Alpha lactose has peculiarity that in the crystalline state each lactose molecule is associated with one molecule of water, i.e. monohydrate
